# How to start trading

Clypto Perpetual Exchange is an orderbook perp dex with up to 100x leverage, featuring omnichain deposits, CeFi-grade user experience, and advanced trading tools. Clypto utilizes [Orderly Network](https://orderly.network/)'s Infrastructure allowing for a seamless CEX-like experience while still maintaining self-custody of funds.

### **Getting started** <a href="#getting-started" id="getting-started"></a>

Connecting to Clypto can take place using an email, social login such as Google, or a crypto wallet connected to any supported chain.

Once you've connected this wallet to Clypto, you will need to enable trading with an onchain transaction. Doing so will require two signature requests. Signing is free, won't spend any funds on gas, and is used to verify ownership and allow trading.

#### 2. Deposit assets <a href="#id-2.-deposit-assets" id="id-2.-deposit-assets"></a>

You can find the “Deposit” button on both the the portfolio page and the trading page. From here, you can deposit assets using any of the supported chains.

The deposit/withdraw screen shows the available assets on the available chains that you can deposit. Note that Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Mantle, Base, Mode, Story Protocol, SEI, Berachain, Sonic and Polygon POS chain have native vaults that don't require bridging.&#x20;

Other chain deposits may require bridging, which is all handled through [Clypto crosschain swaps](https://app.clypto.com/). Note you will be required to approve USDC in order for you to be able to deposit.

#### 3. Adjust max account leverage <a href="#id-3.-adjust-max-account-leverage" id="id-3.-adjust-max-account-leverage"></a>

You can adjust max account leverage on both the portfolio and trading pages, with options ranging from 1x to 100x. Note that using higher leverage increases the risk of liquidation, so make sure to thoroughly understand the risks.

#### 4. Begin trading <a href="#id-4.-begin-trading" id="id-4.-begin-trading"></a>

Head to the 'Trading' tab where you can begin your trading experience. Choose your specific pair to trade, place market/limit orders, quickly prefill an order by clicking in the orderbook, monitor current positions, pending orders, and all the general features of a perp CLOB.

If you'd like to trade using an API, go to the next section.
